Kids-First Cleft/Craniofacial Clinics is a jointly operated pediatric-craniofacial clinic shared by both Lutheran Children's Hospital and Parkview Regional Children's Center. Our team uses an interdisciplinary approach involving multiple medical specialists from various practices. Our primary focus involves evaluation and treatment of children with cleft lip and/or palate or craniofacial syndromes.
The Kids-First team is made up of devoted medical professionals who donate their time to provide a team approach to cleft care and set aside competing practices to support the clinic. These specialists include: plastic surgeons, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, orthodontists, dieticians, clinical social workers, and speech pathologists.
Our combined efforts help to provide the absolute best course of treatment for the child. Equally important, it allows parents to fully understand the medical options and feel comfortable with the treatment.
Kids-First Cleft/Craniofacial Clinic has been approved through 2020 as a Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Team by the Commission on Approval of Teams according to the Standards for Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Teams. For more information, visit www.team-approval.org.
